Backnang, Germany, Tuesday August 18th, 2026: Long-established satellite equipment manufacturer and systems integrator Hiltron Communications will promote its new HACUX-IDU2 antenna control unit touchscreen as well as the latest-generation HCS4 system controller, HACU antenna control unit and HMAM-XY motorised antenna mount on stand 1.A37 at the 11-14 September 2026 International Broadcasting Convention in the RAI Amsterdam.
IBC premiere: Hiltron HACUX-IDU2 Antenna Control Unit Touchscreen
Hiltron's HACUX-IDU2 is a 17-inch touchscreen option for the HCS4 satcom system controller and HACU antenna control unit. It offers a highly efficient way to manage satellite earth stations. The 8U high touchscreen panel is design to mount in a 19-inch rack at a convenient location for the operator. All HCS4 and HACU system parameters are displayed on the panel and can be adjusted, if necessary, without need for an external keyboard or pointing device.
Latest generation: Hiltron HCS4 System Controller
Forming the central management and monitoring element for many satcom ground antenna systems, the HCS4 modular satcom system controller is based on Hiltron's 47 years of experience as a manufacturer and integrator active in the broadcast, defence, and wider telecommunications markets. HCS4 modules are designed for roles such as controlling waveguide switches for LNBs, LNAs and HPAs. There are also module cards for L-band switching, antenna heater control, powering and band switching of LNBs, and many more applications relevant to modern earth station antenna systems. Latest-generation modules available include:
• HCS4-Net for network communication;
• HCS4-SSI, HCS4-RES and HCS4-DCD antenna axis controllers;
• HCS4-PSD DC power supply;
• HCS4-PSA 230 volt AC power supply;
• HCS4-DCU antenna de-ice controller;
• HCS4-10M 10 MHz reference source;
• HCS4-EXT equipment monitoring and control module;
• HCS4-SWI switchover module;
• HCS4-LST module with integrated transfer switch;
• HCS4-DBT for LNB power supply, 10 MHz insertion and RF level detection;
• HCS4-L21 2:1 L-band redundancy switcher.
Latest generation: Hiltron HACU Antenna Control Unit
The Hiltron HACU is a complete control unit for use with motorised satellite antennas. Mountable directly on or at the antenna, it can be configured to support a wide variety of antenna drive motors as well as multiple position sensors. Special features like de-ice control, LNB power sourcing and band-switching, fibre-optic interfacing and discrete alarm outputs can be configured easily. The HACU and its associated motor-control electronics are integrated into a weatherproofed outdoor cabinet. An emergency cut-off switch is accessible from outside the housing. Control can also be performed using a directly connected handheld unit.
Latest generation: Hiltron HMAM-XY Motorised Antenna Mount
An additional highlight of Hiltron's IBC 2026 exhibit will be the HMAM-XY motorised antenna mount. This is designed to perform high-precision tracking of LEO and MEO satellites. Prime focus reflectors of up to 2.5 metres diameter for frequencies up to Ka-band can be attached. Quick feed changes allowing multiband operation are available as option. Fast acceleration combined with high tracking velocity and accuracy make the HMAM-XY ideal for a wide range of ground-sensing, general telecommunications, and security applications.
